"A Question Of Priorities" is a follow-up to the unfortunate events depicted in "Confetti Check A-OK" that deals with Edward Straker's need to allow nothing to go right for him in certain situations because of his being forced to elevate his duty above any personal considerations.
Plot[]
Straker's son John lives with Straker's ex-wife Mary, who has re-married. Straker is having a day out with the boy, but it ends in an argument with Mary and John is run over and seriously hurt. Drugs can be obtained to save him in America and a S.H.A.D.O. craft is sent to fetch them. However, Straker gets an alert call to say that an alien defector which could do untold damage to Earth is in the range of the SHADO craft. SHADO can destroy the alien but it means diverting the means to save John.[2]
Errors and Explanations[]

Continuity[]
- The three Interceptors are ordered to return to base without firing upon an approaching UFO but, as they are shown turning, it's obvious that a standard stock shot showing that all three have fired their nose-cone missiles is used. Maybe they fired wide as a warning.
